Mining is a skill
that allows players to extract ores, gems, rune essence and other resources
from rocks in mines throughout RuneScape. If there was no mining, then there
would be a much less diverse variety of weapons and armour available, making
the game pretty dull.
Mining for money
is an interesting thing. The current minimum level requirement for mining is
level 15. As of 23 October 2012, there are 29,463 current members that have
achieved level 99 in mining. However, players in runescape have too many skills
so that they can’t level up both of them to maximum level simply in order to
make more gold. It is time consuming. So it is useful to learn some tips to
help you maximize your profit no matter what’s your level, even you are a
newbie.
There are many methods
to make money without having high level mining skills. First, try to complete
the Rune Mysteries quest to be able to rune craft. Then get 4k rune essence or
more and sell them for 90gp each. This will bring you money and mining
experience. If you're at high level in combat, come to kill moss giants so that
you will get big bones which you should store in your bank. The giants will
also drop good items like gems which you should make into rings for money. What’s
more, you can also get runes, weapons and armor which you can sell as well. After
that, you can get some cash and level up your combat skills at the same time.
If you want, ice giants and hill giants are another good choice to kill, as they
have big bones and will drop good items too.
As a beginner, you
should start by mining a lot of tin/copper. If you would like to bring up your
smithing level as well as mining, learn to mine the same amount of tin and
copper. When your mining level is around 40 of 45, you can mine coal easily. If
you start mining coal at level 30, even though you unlock the option of mining
coal, you will get barely any coal because of there are too many higher level
miners around you. Now that you can mine coal, go to the Dwarvin mines west of
Edgeville, north of Fallador. Here you should go the southeastern most point.
You will see some scorpions, and some coal/gold. Just mine the coal here and go
up the stairs to the east and follow the people/path to get to the bank. When
your mining level is 60 or higher, you can go into the mining guild…For more

Remember, the
higher mining level in your runescape
account, the more runescape
money you can get. So if mining is your primary gold-making skill, you still
need to learn some tips to level up as soon as quickly.
